Individual Therapy
Therapy can offer a space to pause and make sense of what you are experiencing, particularly at times when life feels difficult, uncertain or overwhelming. You may come to therapy with a clear sense of what you would like to work through, or simply with a feeling that something in your life does not feel quite right.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and tailored to you. I draw on existential, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural approaches, which allows us to explore both what may be happening in the present and how earlier experiences, relationships and patterns may continue to shape the way you relate to yourself and others. Where helpful, we can also work more practically with particular difficulties, thoughts or behaviours.
I have a particular interest in working with loss and grief in its many forms. This may include bereavement, but also the loss of a relationship, changes in health, identity or sense of self, moving countries, or navigating significant transitions in life. I also work with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and relational trauma.
I do not believe there is one way of doing therapy that works for everyone. Our work will develop through an understanding of what has brought you to therapy, what you need from it and, importantly, the relationship we build together.
