Hi! I am Zehra, a registered psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a doctoral candidate in counselling psychology. I have a private practice in London, where I work with individuals and couples. I also work internationally with clients online across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle-East.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience working in the NHS, the charity sector and higher education institutes. I specialise in working with loss and grief which includes bereavement and death but also loss of self/identity through significant life changes such as the end of a relationship(s), changes in physical and mental health due to chronic illness and life transitions such as moving countries or settling into university or work. Other sub-specialisations of mine include working with anxiety, depression and relational trauma (childhood and adult).

My qualifications:

  • MSc in Psychological Counselling (MBACP registered) – Regent’s University, London, England     

  • Master of Arts (MA), Psychology  – Columbia University, New York, United States 

  • Bachelor of Science Honours (BScH), Psychology – Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada              

  • Specialist training in Bereavement and Grief Therapy – Wandsworth Bereavement Service
